👴 68-year-old Mr. Lee Thim Loy was once a hardworking laborer who spent his life earning an honest living to support his family. Sadly, he has been diagnosed with terminal esophageal cancer. This devastating news struck like a bolt from the blue, pushing this already struggling family into an even more desperate situation.
💔 Mr. Lee has always been the main breadwinner of the household, sustaining the couple’s basic living expenses with his modest income. But now, his illness has left him bedridden and unable to work. To care for her gravely ill husband, his wife also had to stop working, leaving the family with no source of income. Covering daily necessities and even securing proper meals has become an unbearable burden.
🥲 At present, Mr. and Mrs. Lee’s life is truly on the brink of collapse. Their meals are unstable, and most of the time they rely on the kindness of neighbors and good-hearted people just to get by. Sometimes, even a simple bowl of hot food has become a luxury. Facing poverty, hunger, and the torment of terminal illness, their household is shrouded in helplessness and sorrow.
🏚 In their small and humble home, Mrs. Lee struggles alone to care for her frail husband, watching him suffer every day yet unable to ease his pain.
