Case 1015 – Chan Chin Fei
When the volunteers visited that day, Mr. Chan couldn’t help sighing..
“I am the breadwinner of my family. I also need to take care of an old father, wife and three children”
Mr. Chan Chin Fei is 44 years old this year. In mid-September, he suddenly felt shortness of breath while working and was sent to the hospital for treatment. The doctor told him that he must be treated in a coma, otherwise he would have four hours to live. Forced into desperation, he can only listen to the doctor’s advice on treatment in a coma. But unfortunately, after waking up from the coma, the blood bacterial infection caused the kidney to shrink, and the kidney function could not be as normal as that of a normal person.
Before onset of the disease, he was an electrician and was the breadwinner of the family. When the hand stops, the mouth stops, so when he was in a coma before, his family of 6 was in trouble. Unfortunately, the old father was in a serious condition and needed intubation during his coma. I thought the condition would improve, but the condition did not improve and the body was getting thinner and thinner.
Mr. Chan needs kidney dialysis three times a week, and he also had a cataract removal operation a while ago. Every time he go out for follow-up visits for kidney dialysis, he need his wife to carry herself. The wife was originally a housekeeper. At present, because of the need to take care of the family, She is forced to give up her job and can only take care of her husband, children and old father at home.
The eldest son is stateless, before his born, his parents have no official marriage certificate, so he has no official nationality… So far, he have no chance get to go to school, so the burden of taking care of his grandfather is handed over to the eldest son. But at the age of only 12 years old, he also yearns to play with other children in the days…
Mr. Chan Chin Fei, who needs long-term dialysis, also needs to take care of his elderly father. These costs are undoubtedly worse for him. In addition to needing long-term kidney dialysis, I also need to take care of my sick old father.

那天义工拜访的时候 陈先生不禁感叹到
“我是家里的经济支柱，我还需要照顾一位老父亲，妻子还有三个孩子呀“
陈振辉先生今年44岁, 9月中的时候 工作的时候突然感觉呼吸困难被送院治疗。医生告知必须昏迷治疗 否则剩下四个小时的生命。逼于无奈之下 只能听医生说昏迷状态治疗。但很不幸 在昏迷苏醒之后 血液细菌感染 肾已经缩小 肾功能无法像正常人一样 终身只能洗肾维持生命 。
病发前 是一名电工 是家庭经济支柱 。手停则口停 所以之前他昏迷的时候 他们一家6口一度进入困境。而老父亲很不幸的在他昏迷期间 ，病情严重需要插管治疗。本以为病情会有所好转 但情况却未有好转 而且身体日渐消瘦.
陈先生一个星期需要洗肾三次 ，前阵子还做了个割除白内障手术。每次出去复诊洗肾都需要妻子载送。妻子本来是名房务打扫工人。目前因为需要照顾家庭 所以被迫放弃工作 只能照顾家里的先生孩子与老父亲。
大儿子至今是无国籍的 因为出生的时候与印尼籍的妻子没有正式的婚姻证明 。至今他都无法上学无法出门 所以照顾爷爷的担子就交给了大儿子。但年龄只有仅仅12岁的他 也很向往跟其他的小朋友在该上学的年龄上学 该出门玩闹的日子里打打闹闹。
需要长期洗肾的陈振辉先生 还需要照顾年迈的父亲。这些费用对他来说 无疑是雪上加霜。自己需要长期洗肾之余 还要照顾病恹恹的老父亲。特此委托Hero Medical & Charity Society ( HMCS ) 英雄医疗慈善协会向大众筹募。
